I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of

your letter of the 24th. and 25th. November and 14th. December relating to the voluntary winding up of the Central and North China Godowns and Press Packing Company, Limited, Kalee Limited, and the Yangtsze Wharf and Godown Company, Limited.

Before dealing with the particular points raised in your letters it may be convenient to offer certain observations on the genral question of the winding up of Hongkong Companies which are under German management or have a number of German share- -holders. In some cases the German shareholders are clearly in a position to exercise complete control over the company.
